Salary: £12.80 – £13.80 per hour (dependent on experience)
Contract Type: Permanent (Part-Time, 20 hours per week: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM, 2 days a week including alternate weekends)
About the Role
We are partnering with the vibrant Hatfield Peverel Lodge Care Home—set in nine scenic acres with a dedicated dementia-friendly house—to find a passionate Kitchen Assistant. Hatfield Peverel is a lively, community-focused home where great attention is placed on delivering fresh, nutritious, and enjoyable meals tailored to individual resident preferences.
As a Kitchen Assistant through Supportive Bridge, you will be the vital link between the main kitchen and our residents, helping the chef team deliver an exceptional dining experience and cherishing the little moments with residents.
Key Responsibilities
Act as the welcoming link between the main kitchen and the residents.
Assist chefs with plating meals, preparing food trolleys, and ensuring all preparation areas remain spotless, clean, and tidy.
Monitor stock rotation and comply with company policies, strictly following mandatory COSHH and HACCP guidelines.
Assist with catering for special events and social gatherings, such as summer BBQs and Christmas parties.
What We Are Looking For
A genuine passion for food with previous experience working in a kitchen environment.
A Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.
An approachable, caring, and communicative nature, eager to engage with residents and work collaboratively with the wider kitchen and care home teams.
