We are currently seeking a dedicated Complex Healthcare Assistant to support a friendly gentleman living with a spinal cord injury in Tunbridge Wells.
The client is very independent, manages his own electric wheelchair well, and loves getting out for fresh air—especially fishing when the weather allows! If you are patient, kind, and looking for a rewarding role where you can support a client's independence and hobbies, this is the ideal opportunity for you.
Specialist Clinical Care: Provide expert 24-hour support, including daily care for a suprapubic catheter and supporting gentle, passive exercises to manage muscle spasms in the arms and legs.
Promoting Independence: Assist the client in maintaining his independence, dignity, and choice within his own home.
Community & Hobby Access: Support the client to get out into the community, enjoy fresh air, and pursue his passion for fishing.
Care Plan Adherence: Closely observe and monitor the client, maintain thorough documentation, and follow care plans written by nurse managers precisely.
To excel in this specialized agency placement, you will need:
Previous practical experience in a care or complex support environment.
A patient, kind, and engaging personality, with a natural ability to listen and build strong rapport.
