Activities Assistant - Care Home

Role Description

Supportive Bridge Staffing & Recruitment is seeking an enthusiastic Activities Assistant on behalf of our client for Plas Y Dderwen Care Home in Carmarthen. In this fulfilling part-time role, you will assist in delivering a diverse, fun, and engaging activities programme designed to enhance resident wellbeing, promote independence, and encourage social connection.

Key Responsibilities

• Help organise and facilitate creative group pastimes, social events, entertainment, and outings tailored to residents' interests and abilities.

• Encourage and motivate residents to participate in activities, building strong relationships with them, their families, and the local community.

• Support the maintenance of a vibrant and stimulating environment that enriches the daily lives of all care home residents.

Requirements

• Enthusiastic, empathetic, and creative mindset with a genuine passion for supporting elderly individuals.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to inspire and motivate others.

• No prior experience required; full training and development opportunities will be provided.
