Role Overview
Reporting to the General Maintenance Supervisor, you will act as a vital bridge between craft technicians and management. You will drive a 'Fix 4 Life' culture, increase equipment uptime, and effectively allocate engineering resources to support 24/7 glass production operations while coaching and mentoring team members.
Key Responsibilities:
Drive continuous plant improvement, equipment reliability, and efficient workflow prioritization.
Coach, mentor, and guide members of the engineering team using hands-on expertise.
Utilize PRISMA (CMMS) to manage maintenance tasks and record activities accurately.
Solve complex engineering problems autonomously and maintain safe working practices.
Key Requirements:
Essential: Time-served mechanical technician with manufacturing engineering experience.
Mechanical/Electro trade bias (70/30 split desirable).
Level 3 ONC or City & Guilds qualification.
Proven background in an industrial environment with strong leadership, planning, and communication skills.
Welding/fabricating experience (MIG, TIG, & Arc) and PRISMA/CMMS familiarity are highly desirable.
