Job Title: Ergonomist & Safety Officer
Location: Staines (TW18 3DZ) or Salford Quays (M50 3SP) - Hybrid and flexible working options (2-3 days a week in the office)
Rate of Pay: From £35,000 - £40,000 per annum (dependent upon experience)
Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time (37.5 hours per week)
We are partnering with the Occupational Health & Safety team to find a qualified Ergonomist & Safety Officer on a permanent, full-time basis. Operating across hybrid, office, and operational environments, this role plays a key part in preventing musculoskeletal injuries, supporting workplace adjustments, and shaping safer, healthier, and more productive workplaces across the UK.
As an Ergonomist & Safety Officer through Supportive Bridge, you will serve as the subject matter expert in ergonomics and human factors, working closely with managers, employees, and health and safety colleagues to provide practical solutions and drive a proactive approach to wellbeing and workplace design.
Conduct DSE and ergonomic workstation assessments across office, operational, and hybrid working environments.
Support employees requiring workplace adjustments due to musculoskeletal conditions, health concerns, or individual needs.
Identify ergonomic risks, recommend practical workplace improvements, and review or improve ergonomics-related policies and reporting templates.
Analyse incident and wellbeing data to identify trends and develop targeted interventions and training programmes on best practice ergonomics.
Support wider Health & Safety activities, including audits, risk management, and investigations.
Qualified in Ergonomics, Human Factors, Occupational Health, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, or a related discipline.
A Chartered or Registered Member of the Chartered Institute of Ergonomics & Human Factors (CIEHF) with previous experience in an ergonomics-focused role.
Strong understanding of musculoskeletal injury prevention, workplace design, and practical experience with DSE and ergonomic assessments.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at all levels and work independently across multiple locations.
Competitive Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum with hybrid and flexible working options.
