Position: Funeral Arranger (Full-Time / Permanent)

Location: 74 Station Road, Addlestone, KT15 2AF

Pay Rate: £26,266 per year (£13.47 per hour) plus benefits

Hours: 37.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM)

In this compassionate role, you’ll be a pillar of support for grieving families, helping them say the perfect goodbye to their loved ones. From guiding clients through arrangements and managing branch administration to assisting with the care and preparation of the deceased, you'll find a unique sense of job satisfaction. No previous funeral industry experience is necessary—full, compassionate training is provided!

What You'll Be Doing

• Client Support: Build positive relationships, support clients in person and over the phone, arrange family visits, and answer questions with high levels of empathy and care.

• Funeral Home Management: Ensure the funeral home is clean, safe, welcoming, and comforting (noting there will be times when you are the sole person in branch).

• Care of the Deceased: Support with manual handling of coffins and assist in the professional care and preparation of the deceased (such as preparing for viewings, hair, makeup, etc.) with dignity and respect.

• Administration & IT: Use digital systems and devices to manage client documentation, invoicing, and updates accurately.

Working Pattern & Important Considerations

• Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

• Commutability: Applicants must live within a reliable, commutable distance of Addlestone.

• Important Note on Duties: Positions within Funeralcare can involve direct physical contact with the deceased and manual handling tasks (such as moving coffins). Please carefully consider your comfort levels with these responsibilities before applying.
