About the Role

Are you a confident, resilient leader who loves getting stuck into daily operations while guiding a team to success? We are looking for an experienced Deputy Store Manager to join the team at Lidl on Kings Road, Birmingham.

In this role, you will be the right hand to the Store Manager, keeping a cool head under pressure. From managing cash processes and stock levels to leading the shop floor, you will create an environment where your team can do their absolute best work. You will also take full ownership of the store and lead by example whenever the Store Manager is away.

What You Will Do

Lead by Example: Motivate and support your team on the shop floor, setting a spectacular standard for both colleagues and customers.
Run Store Operations: Diligently manage deliveries, oversee the till areas, handle cash processes, and track key store KPIs.
Take the Reins: Independently run store operations and look after personnel in the absence of the Store Manager.
Deliver Excellence: Be a friendly, open face for customers, solving queries and ensuring a high-quality shopping experience.

What You Need

Proven experience managing, motivating, and developing a team in a fast-paced retail or hospitality environment.
Excellent communication skills to connect naturally with both your team and your customers.
Strong problem-solving, time-management, and delegation skills.
The ability to monitor, manage, and drive store KPIs forward.
