About the Role
As a Bank Chef at Stoneham Grove Care Home, you will enjoy working with fresh seasonal food while maintaining a fantastic work-life balance without the long weeks and split shifts of traditional restaurants. Working on a flexible, casual basis, your responsibilities will include:
Assisting the Head Chef in creating nutritious, flavoursome, and well-balanced menus tailored around residents' individual preferences.
Helping manage the kitchen effectively in the Head Chef’s absence.
Preparing and cooking wholesome dishes using fresh produce to meet the highest quality and safety standards.
Assisting in leading, inspiring, and motivating the kitchen team while managing stock control, audits, and operating within budget.
About You
We are looking for a qualified, passionate Chef driven by quality and resident wellbeing. To join us, you will need:
A City & Guilds / NVQ / SVQ or equivalent catering qualification.
A personable, warm approach with a genuine interest in the wellbeing of residents.
Previous experience in helping lead and inspire a team.
Experience working with fresh seasonal food and a solid understanding of nutrition and HACCP guidelines.
