About the Role
We are recruiting a dedicated and experienced Lead Social Worker on a permanent basis on behalf of St Mary’s Hospital in Warrington—a specialist facility providing low stimulus, spacious care environments for individuals with Acquired Brain Injuries (ABI), progressive neurological conditions, Autism Spectrum Conditions (ASC), and Deaf Mental Health problems.
Working as part of a strong multidisciplinary team, you will lead on adult safeguarding, manage complex caseloads, prepare reports for Mental Health Tribunals and Managers Hearings, and deliver quality supervision and appraisals to junior and senior social workers. You will also act as a key liaison with external statutory agencies and support families and carers of detained patients.
What You Will Need
Qualifications & Registration: A recognized Social Work qualification alongside active registration with Social Work England.
Experience: At least 3 to 4 years of professional social work experience gained within a similar healthcare or secure environment.
Knowledge & Skills: A strong working knowledge of relevant legislation, mental capacity issues, best interest decisions, and adult safeguarding.
Proximity & Availability: Living within a manageable commute of Warrington (WA2 8DB) and committed to safeguarding the welfare of service users.
