We are currently partnering with Circle Health Group—Britain’s leading provider of independent healthcare—to find a skilled and motivated Engineering Technician to support their facilities across Fairfield Independent Hospital, Circle Cheshire Clinic, and the Stockport Decontamination Unit.
As an Engineering Technician, you will provide routine and specialized engineering maintenance, ensure rapid breakdown support, and guarantee the prompt completion of planned, reactive, and specialist sub-contract work orders across multiple sites. You will serve as a technical expert, maintaining the highest standards of safety, compliance, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure the prompt completion of all work orders for planned maintenance, reactive responses, specialist sub-contract work, and remedial work orders.
Provide routine and specialized engineering maintenance and breakdown support across assigned hospital and decontamination sites.
Deliver technical, health, safety, and environmental support while acting as an exemplar of company policies and procedures.
Provide training, mentoring, and hands-on assistance to any additional site-based technicians or engineering assistants.
Offer engineering support and advice to local hospital managers as required.
Cultivate a "can-do" culture based on exemplary engineering standards, open integrity, and a strong team ethos.
Comply with all relevant mandatory training.
To thrive in this role, applicants must meet the following criteria:
Qualifications: Time-served apprenticeship in a mechanical or electrical biased discipline, alongside a City & Guilds Part 3, ONC, NVQ Level 3, or equivalent.
Certifications: Current Construction Safety Certification Scheme (CSCS) Card at the appropriate level (or current Electro-technical Certification Scheme [ECS] Card if electrically qualified).
Flexibility: Willingness to act as an Authorised Person (AP) and Responsible Person (RP) for Medical Gases (Medgas) as required.
Knowledge Base: Comprehensive understanding of Health and Safety guidelines, statutes, ACOPs, and L8 Legionella ACOP within hospital buildings.
Skills: Demonstrated high level of organization and time management, excellent fault-finding techniques, and the ability to read engineering drawings.
