What You Will Be Doing
Lead and support the maintenance team at St Neots Neurological Centre, overseeing day-to-day operations, prioritizing workloads, and reviewing work schedules with the Support Services Manager.
Organize and complete planned preventative maintenance (PPM) programmes while ensuring all statutory and compliance regulations are met.
Coordinate on-site contractors, providing guidance to ensure all work is completed safely, on time, and to standard.
Identify, prioritize, and respond to faults, damage, and maintenance issues to keep buildings safe and fit for purpose.
Promote a strong health and safety culture, support administrative tasks (purchase orders, invoice approval, and budgeting), and contribute to relevant management and clinical governance meetings.
Key Skills & Qualifications
Previous maintenance experience within a hospital, healthcare, or similar regulated environment.
A City & Guilds qualification in Electrical, Plumbing, or Building.
Good managerial, communication, and problem-solving skills with a practical, adaptable approach.
Knowledge of statutory legislation covering fire safety, electrical safety, and general health and safety, alongside familiarity with hospital plant equipment.
Good physical health with the ability to lift heavy loads, supported by initiative, assertiveness, and strong team focus.

St. Neots Neurological Centre is centrally located in Cambridgeshire, providing assessment, treatment, rehabilitation, and complex care for adults (males and females) affected by neurological or mental health conditions for which challenging behavior may be the leading impairment. The site features an experienced multidisciplinary team dedicated to delivering person-centred care pathways.
