Salary: £13.25 per hour (paid weekly) + £4.71 shift premium for working Saturdays
Contract Type: Permanent (39 hours per week across a rotating two-week pattern)
About the Role
We are proud to partner with our client as a supportive staffing agency to recruit motivated individuals as Hatchery Operatives for their hatchery in Romsey, Hampshire. No prior experience is necessary, as full training is provided from day one! This is a fantastic opportunity to secure a stable, permanent role where you will play a vital part in daily agricultural operations that feed into the nation's supply chain.
Key Responsibilities
Chick Sorting & Care: Ensure chicks are accurately sorted into required grades and quantities, ready for safe farm delivery.
Egg Movement & Incubation: Assist in the efficient movement of eggs from storage into incubating machines and onward to hatching machines.
Hygiene & Biosecurity: Clean all equipment thoroughly after use to meet strict hygiene standards and strictly safeguard site biosecurity.
Safety & Welfare: Always observe animal welfare regulations, health and safety guidelines, and work cooperatively as part of a dedicated team.

What We Are Looking For
Skills: A good level of basic English and numeracy skills, strong attention to detail, and a flexible attitude toward daily tasks.
Experience: Previous background in a production or manufacturing environment is desirable, but not essential as full training is given.
