Based in Leatherhead under Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, this permanent full-time position (37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 9-5) offers a high-level strategic and operational leadership role within adult mental health services across Guildford, Waverley, and Surrey Heath, UK.
In this executive leadership position, you will drive operational management, strategic service redesign, financial stewardship, and performance monitoring across PCN/neighbourhood sites. Working closely with clinical directors, primary care networks, social care partners, and lived experience representatives, you will lead multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality integrated mental health care, reduce health inequalities, and ensure compliance with NHSE, ICB, and CQC standards.
Role Description
As a Band 8b Neighbourhood Locality General Manager, you will provide overall operational, strategic, and financial management for integrated adult mental health teams across the South West locality, leading workforce transformation and cross-system collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee the operational management, delivery, and safety of adult mental health teams across local PCN and neighbourhood sites in line with NHSE and CQC standards.
Drive operational performance, caseload management, and financial targets, delivering monthly assurance reports and proactive risk mitigation strategies to senior executive management.
Partner with professional leads and multidisciplinary teams to review care pathways, lead service redesign, and co-design improvements with service users and carers.
Requirements
Professional qualification at Diploma/Degree level with active registration as an RMN, HCPC, or Social Work England (SWE) professional.
Leadership or management qualification, or equivalent high-level strategic training and continuous professional development.
Significant post-qualification senior management experience in a health or social care setting, with demonstrated success in change management, service redesign, and adult mental health services.

Calculated hourly rate of £34.14 to £39.68 per hour (based on £66,582 - £77,368 per annum including 5% Fringe High Cost Area Supplement across a standard 37.5-hour work week).
