Role Overview
Position: Care Team Leader (Days) — Fixed Term (9 months)
Location: Callin Court, Chester (CH1 2NW)
Hours: Part-time, 32 hours per week (7-day rota, including on-call cover)
Pay Rate: £17.29 per hour
Closing Date: 1 September 2026
Are you an experienced, compassionate care professional ready to step into a key leadership role? Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency is proud to partner with MHA to source a dedicated Care Team Leader for their Callin Court scheme in Chester.
This is a fantastic 9-month fixed-term opportunity to help deliver exceptional, person-centred care, mentor staff, and ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the service.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership: Supervise, support, and inspire care, wellbeing, and administrative staff to deliver safe, high-quality care.
Deputising: Take full responsibility for the service during the absence of the Care Manager and provide direct personal care when needed.
Clinical & Administrative Standards: Oversee medication management, update care and support plans, and ensure strict compliance with health, safety, and infection control policies.
Staff Development: Conduct 1:1s, supervisions, appraisals, and assist with staff inductions and training needs.
Collaborative Working: Build strong relationships with residents, families, and external health professionals to promote dignity, independence, and wellbeing.
What You Will Bring
Experience: Proven background in a care-related setting with people management experience (e.g., leading shifts or managing teams).
Skills: Strong literacy, IT confidence (Microsoft products), and excellent communication and organisational abilities.
Knowledge: Familiarity with medication administration, dementia care, and supporting older people with physical and emotional frailty.
Qualifications: Level 3 Diploma in Adult Care (or equivalent) is desirable.
Proximity: Ideally living within approximately 15 miles of Chester for a manageable commute, though individual circumstances are welcome to be discussed.
