At Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency, we know that exceptional leadership is the heartbeat of a thriving care home. We are proud to partner with Maria Mallaband Care Group (MMCG), one of the UK’s premier independent care providers, to recruit an ambitious, clinical leader for the role of Deputy Manager (Nurse Qualified) at the stunning Claremont Manor in Dawlish.
Claremont Manor is dedicated to providing high-quality, personalized care in a warm, "home-from-home" environment. This role is a fundamental position within social care, representing the perfect step for a first-level Registered Nurse who has supervisory experience and is ready to take on senior leadership responsibilities as part of their professional development.
Reporting directly to the Registered Home Manager, you will share responsibility for the clinical leadership, operational management, and regulatory compliance of the home. You will be instrumental in maintaining high clinical standards, managing staff performance, and fostering deep, trusting relationships with residents, families, and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Leadership: Oversee the efficient day-to-day running of the home in accordance with MMCG policies, procedures, and external regulatory requirements.
Clinical Excellence: Lead by example as a first-class clinician, supervising care delivery, medication management, and the implementation of highly personalized care plans.
Team Management: Supervise, mentor, and motivate the nursing and care teams, ensuring optimal performance, clear communication, and high morale.
Regulatory Compliance: Assist the Home Manager in maintaining strict compliance with regulatory standards, proactively preparing for audits and inspections.
Stakeholder Relations: Build and maintain positive, professional relationships with local authorities, GPs, multi-disciplinary teams, and the families of our residents.
We are looking for a dedicated nurse leader who couples excellent clinical judgment with strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
Qualifications & Registrations:
A nursing qualification recognized by the UK NMC.
A valid UK NMC PIN (RGN, RMN, or RNLD).
Experience:
Proven experience as a clinical supervisor or team leader within a care home setting.
Previous experience working as a Deputy Manager is highly desirable, but not essential—we welcome experienced charge nurses or unit managers looking to take their first step into senior management.
Skills & Attributes:
A committed, organized, and proactive approach to management.
Outstanding communication skills with a natural ability to motivate, coach, and inspire a diverse team.
A solid understanding of regulatory compliance and a commitment to delivering a five-star service.
Physical capability to assist residents with mobility.
Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
