Location: North Yorkshire / York Region (including Holgate CAS, Urgent Treatment Centres in York & Scarborough, and regional clinics across Selby, Malton, Whitby, and Burton)
Pay Rate: £30 to £35 per hour
Contract Type: Bank / Locum basis (flexible working patterns)

We are acting on behalf of Nimbuscare Ltd to recruit experienced and enthusiastic Advanced Clinical Practitioners (ACPs) to join their growing urgent care team in North Yorkshire.
As a clinically-led, not-for-profit organization within the NHS family, Nimbuscare is dedicated to making urgent care simple, seamless, and safe. In this dynamic role, you will work across various clinical environments—including the Clinical Assessment Service (CAS), Weekend Home Visiting service, and Urgent Treatment Centres (UTCs)—delivering expert autonomous care and providing clinical leadership to support multidisciplinary teams.
Autonomous Clinical Care: Independently assess, differentially diagnose, treat, and evaluate care plans for patients presenting with complex urgent care needs, ensuring timely referrals and robust safety netting.
Prescribing & Interventions: Utilize independent non-medical prescribing qualifications to optimize medication management in line with national protocols and evidence-based practice.
Clinical Leadership & Supervision: Provide expert support, mentorship, and clinical leadership to practitioners, nursing staff, therapists, and students while embedding effective time-management and quality improvement strategies.
Documentation & Governance: Maintain comprehensive, accurate electronic patient records and clinical coding, complete ReSPECT forms and advanced care plans, and actively report events via Nimbuscare's governance framework.
Essential Criteria
Qualifications & Registration: Registered healthcare professional with current UK professional registration (e.g., NMC, HCPC) and an MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice (or equivalent digital badge/supported advanced practice portfolio).
Specialist Training: Independent non-medical prescribing qualification, Level 7 Clinical Skills, Level 7 formal research module (or equivalent), Basic Life Support (BLS), and a Minor Illness qualification (or paediatric clinical skills equivalent).
Experience & Skills: Extensive clinical experience managing complex caseloads, strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities, and proven leadership/mentoring skills.
Personal Attributes: Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills, highly organized, self-motivated, and capable of working autonomously under pressure.
Desirable Criteria
Advanced Life Support (ALS/ILS) provider/instructor certification.
Leadership module/qualification or previous experience acting as a principal research investigator.
