The Role
As a Cleaner here, every sweep of your brush helps give our customers the in-store experience they deserve. From maintaining a tidy store to ensuring our hygiene standards are up to the mark, you’ll be an essential part of the team, keeping things looking their best for customers and colleagues alike. You’ll always go the extra mile, ready to roll up your sleeves and get the job done at our brand-new York location.
Key Responsibilities:
Store Upkeep: Thoroughly maintain the store to keep it looking its very best.
External Areas: Keep trolley bays, car parks, and outside spaces clean and tidy to make a great first impression.
Machinery Operation: Confidently operate industrial cleaning machinery.
Welfare Maintenance: Clean welfare areas, including toilets, waste, and recycling sections.
Minor Maintenance: Carry out minor maintenance tasks when needed.
Health & Safety: Proactively make sure that hygiene, Health, and Safety standards are consistently upheld.
What You’ll Need
Experience: Previous experience in cleaning or maintenance is beneficial, though not essential.
Approach: A hands-on approach and a keen eye for detail.
Dedication: A passion to do the best job for your store and your team.
Drive & Independence: The drive and independence to carry out tasks to the best of your ability.
What You’ll Receive
Competitive Pay: £13.45 - £13.65 per hour, with additional shift premiums (£2.00 per hour for bank holidays and £3.50 per hour for nights).
Holiday Allowance: 30–35 days’ holiday (pro rata).
