Key Responsibilities
Act as the person in charge, standing in for the Manager as required and observing all instructions to act on their behalf while maintaining high standards of resident care.
Undertake vital nursing tasks, including the distribution of medication, wound dressings, catheterisation, tube feeding, and the management of chronic medical conditions.
Communicate closely with residents' families and GPs regarding any changes in condition, ensuring they are kept informed and involved in choices for ongoing care.
Take responsibility for the effective deployment and supervision of staff within the care team, ensuring all tasks are completed during your shift and residents receive required care.
Deliver high standards of clinical support by undertaking accurate assessments and person-centred care planning.
Person Specification & Requirements
Qualifications & Registration: Must hold a First Level qualification and current, active NMC Registration with valid UK professional registration.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of professional experience and up-to-date knowledge of care, supported by relevant post-basic studies or qualifications.
Core Skills & Qualities: Good interpersonal skills, the ability to instruct and demonstrate care activities, and a sound working knowledge of care planning and its practical application.
