About the Role
We are recruiting a skilled and reliable Maintenance Worker / Gardener on a permanent full-time basis (37.5 hours per week) on behalf of Cedar Lodge in Wootton Wawen, a warm and compassionate home supporting older people and individuals living with dementia.
In this varied and rewarding role, you will be responsible for the general upkeep of the service, including buildings, equipment, grounds, and gardens. You will ensure a safe, comfortable, and attractive environment where residents, visitors, and colleagues feel welcome and supported.
What You Will Need
Essential Experience: Previous relevant maintenance experience and practical skills in general maintenance and/or gardening.
Trade Qualifications: A recognised trade qualification (e.g., City & Guilds in plumbing, joinery, electrical, or decorating) is desirable.
Organisation & Independence: The ability to work independently, manage planned preventative maintenance schedules, and coordinate effectively with contractors and management.
Proximity & Attitude: A flexible approach to work, sensitivity to the needs of older people, and ideally living within 15 miles of Henley-in-Arden (B95 6DR) for a manageable commute.
