Location: Boston (Home to a team of around 400 colleagues producing ready-to-eat salads, prepared vegetables, and snacks for major retailers like Co-op, Boots, Greggs, Costco, Spar, and BOL)
Pay Rate: £14.97 per hour
Job Type: Permanent - Full-Time
Shift Pattern: 3/2/3 Nights, 18:00 – 06:00

As a supportive bridge staffing agency, we are proud to partner with Greencore (following their combination with Bakkavor) to find dedicated hygiene and technical talent. Greencore is one of the UK’s leading convenience food creators, employing over 28,000 colleagues across 36 manufacturing sites and 21 distribution depots.
At their Boston facility, we are currently seeking a meticulous and safety-conscious Hygiene Operative for the night shift to undertake all aspects of cleaning and sanitising food manufacturing areas, equipment, and machinery.
Key Responsibilities
Cleaning & Sanitisation: Carry out daily factory cleaning as part of a team, schedule and execute deep cleaning of large machinery, and maintain high hygiene standards across production areas.
Safety & Compliance: Wear full PPE (including chemical suits, visors, wellingtons, gloves, and safety goggles), work safely in chilled and hot environments, and handle/store chemicals correctly.
Documentation & Reporting: Complete accurate paperwork to document cleans and promptly report any damaged equipment or machinery.
What We Are Looking For
While full training is provided for the right candidate, ideal backgrounds include:
Experience & Certifications: Previous experience in a hygiene-based role is essential, with Health & Safety Level 2, Food Safety Level 2, and COSHH awareness highly desirable.
Core Skills: Strong attention to detail to meet inspection standards, the ability to follow written instructions, and the willingness to work independently and learn new skills across different areas on site.
