About the Role

Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency is proud to partner with Morrisons to recruit a passionate and skilled Market Street Baker for their Stone store.

As the face of our fresh bakery in-store, you will use your professional baking expertise to prepare and bake a wide variety of fresh bread, rolls, doughnuts, and fruited products. You will ensure consistent product availability, maintain high-quality and attractive food displays throughout the trading day, and deliver outstanding service that highlights our traditional skills and fresh offerings. You will also have the opportunity to work flexibly across other fresh counters on Market Street.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare bakery products for sale to company specification using appropriate equipment (such as provers, ovens, and mixers) and professional baking skills.

• Mix, mould, and bake a variety of fresh goods, including bread, rolls, doughnuts, and fruited products.

• Maintain quality, fresh, and attractive product displays throughout the trading day to drive sales and ensure customer confidence in availability.

• Deliver friendly, helpful service and highlight traditional baking skills to create positive moments for customers.

• Work flexibly across other fresh counters on Market Street to ensure all customer needs are met.

What We Are Looking For

• Passionate about baking, with prior experience working as a trained baker, in a commercial bakery, or in a professional kitchen.

• Competent baking skills, including the ability to mix and mould dough to create quality bakery products.

• Friendly, supportive, and enthusiastic about meeting new people and going above and beyond for customers.

• Enjoys staying active and working in a fast-paced, varied environment with early morning starts.

• Comfortable using a range of bakery equipment while maintaining strict standards of health and safety.

• Must be over the school leaver’s age.
