Position Details
Location: Flowerdown Care Home, Harestock Road, Winchester, SO22 6NT (covering homes within a 20-mile radius)
Pay Rate: £14.87 per hour
Contract Type: Bank (Casual, flexible part-time hours providing cover as needed)
Shifts: Days or Nights Available
About the Role
As a Bank Regional Care Assistant, you will deliver warm, empathetic, and respectful care across a 20-mile radius, helping residents get the most out of life. You will monitor care delivery, contribute to person-centred care planning, record vital observations (like temperature and blood pressure), and provide meaningful companionship and one-to-one time.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide flexible cover across local Barchester homes within a 20-mile radius.
Monitor care delivery and assist with person-centred care plans.
Record key health observations and ensure residents receive dedicated one-to-one time.
Travel flexibly to support teams during peak times, annual leave, or sick leave.
About You
To join us as a Bank Regional Care Assistant, you will bring:
Experience & Qualifications: A background in elderly care (a Level 2 NVQ in Health and Social Care is useful, along with a good understanding of the healthcare industry and GCSE English/Maths grade C or above).
Requirements: Access to your own transport (mileage covered for travel over five miles from your home).
Personality: Dedicated, compassionate, flexible, and driven by a genuine passion for people and resident wellbeing. (Note: You may also qualify for a bonus if you are on duty during an inspection that achieves a 'Good' rating!)
