About the Role

Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency is proud to be recruiting on behalf of our trusted healthcare facilities partners for a dedicated Domestic Assistant.

Based at Forth Valley Royal Hospital, you will play an essential part in creating a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and colleagues. Your work has real purpose: you will provide comprehensive cleaning, housekeeping, and catering support across clinical areas and departments, helping maintain the highest standards of hygiene, infection control, and patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Cleaning & Hygiene: Deliver cleaning and customer services to rigorous standards across clinical departments, wards, and public spaces in line with schedules and procedures.

• Waste Management: Safely empty, dispose of, and replace clinical and domestic waste following strict safety policies.

• Catering Support: Assist the Housekeeper with mealtime catering duties, including operating food trolleys and specialized kitchen equipment.

• Infection Control: Maintain immaculate standards of personal hygiene and infection control, adhering strictly to Health & Safety and COSHH guidelines.

• Facilities Reporting: Report any maintenance issues, hazards, or concerns regarding facility conditions promptly.

• Equipment Operations: Safely operate cleaning machinery, industrial vacuums, scrubbers, polishers, and automated systems following full training.

What You’ll Need

• Environment: Comfortable working in a busy, active hospital setting where high standards of cleanliness, safety, and care are paramount.

• Physical Capability: This is a physically active role requiring mobility for much of your shift, including manual handling and equipment operation.

• Vetting Requirement: Applicants must be able to obtain the appropriate Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) checks prior to employment.

• Full Training Provided: No prior specialized cleaning experience is necessary, as full training will be given on all equipment (including CAFM systems, AGV systems, and industrial cleaning gear).
