As Northern LGPS enters an exciting new phase to establish a new FCA-authorised investment management company, we are seeking a strategic and technical IT Services & Infrastructure Lead. Working closely with the Head of Technology, you will act as the internal technical authority, ensuring that infrastructure, cyber security, and IT operations are secure, resilient, and fit for purpose.
As IT Services & Infrastructure Lead, you will play a pivotal role in building and overseeing the technology environment and managing outsourced IT managed services. Key responsibilities include:
Infrastructure & Operations: Leading the implementation, configuration, and testing of technology infrastructure through outsourced IT Managed Services providers.
Vendor & SLA Oversight: Monitoring and evaluating the performance of managed service providers against agreed SLAs, driving continuous service improvement.
Cyber Security & Resilience: Establishing cyber security requirements, managing vulnerabilities/incidents, and developing business continuity and disaster recovery plans.
Technology Governance: Building strong governance around change management, configuration management, and operational controls while supporting IT audits and regulatory expectations.
Strategic Support: Working with the Head of Technology to support infrastructure budgets and provide regular reporting to governance forums.
We are looking for an experienced technology professional who brings:
Proven expertise in managing IT infrastructure, operational services, and outsourced managed service providers.
Strong background in technology governance, SLA monitoring, change/incident management, and continual service improvement.
Experience in cyber security oversight, risk management, and operational resilience.
Excellent business continuity and disaster recovery planning skills.
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
