Position Details
Location: Wilton Place Care Home, Buckeridge Road, Wilton, SP2 0FX
Pay Rate: £14.81 per hour
Hours: 34.50 hours per week
Contract Type: Permanent
Shifts: Days or Nights Available
About the Role
As a Care Home Assistant, no two days will be the same as you take on diverse responsibilities across care, housekeeping, and catering. Whether you are helping prepare meals, maintaining a clean and welcoming environment, or spending meaningful one-to-one time with residents, you will play a vital role in ensuring they always come first. (Plus, if you find yourself drawn to one specific area, Barchester provides opportunities to progress there full-time!)
Key Responsibilities:
Carry out varied daily tasks spanning care support, housekeeping, and catering.
Help maintain a well-run, clean, safe, and homely environment for residents.
Deliver dedicated one-to-one time and ensure a warm, person-centred atmosphere.
About You
To join us as a Care Home Assistant, you will bring:
Experience: Some prior background in care, housekeeping, or catering.
Communication: Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills with a positive, can-do attitude.
Attributes: Practical, adaptable, and always ready to turn your hand to different tasks to support residents. (Full ongoing training is provided!)
