Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency is looking for a compassionate and dedicated team member to join our partner Funeralcare team as a Funeral Service Crew member in Bolton. Help families say the perfect goodbye to loved ones by providing a professional, empathetic, and seamless service.
No previous experience in the funeral industry is necessary, as full training and ongoing support are provided from day one.
Care of the Deceased: Collect the deceased from various locations and scenarios, prepare and care for them for viewings and funerals, and prepare coffins and engrave name plates with professionalism, dignity, and respect.
Funeral Duties: Bear coffins on the day of the funeral and drive funeral vehicles using safe techniques and handling aids.
Facilities & Equipment: Maintain the cleanliness of equipment, facilities, and vehicles.
Administration: Maintain client management applications daily, inputting detailed and timely information to keep records updated accurately.
Safety & Compliance: Follow health and safety guidance closely to prevent injuries during physical tasks such as lifting and carrying coffins.
Driving Licence: A full manual UK driver's licence.
Physical Capability: The ability to perform the physical aspects of the role, such as manual lifting (appropriate training and equipment provided).
IT Skills: Good confidence using technology devices (computers, tablets, smartphones, printers, scanners) and the ability to learn new applications.
Compassion & Empathy: The ability to react calmly and compassionately in emotional circumstances with a sensitive approach to customer service.
Attention to Detail: Strong accuracy standards to ensure regulatory policies and processes are always followed.
Competitive Pay: £13.24 per hour.
