Location: Horizon SARC, Roughlea Avenue, Birmingham, West Midlands, B36 8GH (with regional coverage across West Midlands SARC sites including Birmingham, Darlaston, Worcester, Telford, Stoke-on-Trent, and Nuneaton)
Salary: £40,000 to £43,000 per annum (starting at £40,000, rising to £43,000 upon passing probation)
Contract Type: Permanent
Working Pattern: Full-time (40 hours per week, hybrid working up to 2 days per week max, with frequent regional travel and occasional national travel)

We are acting on behalf of Mountain Healthcare Ltd—a premier partner of NHS England and the police, and a leading provider of clinical forensic healthcare—to recruit an experienced Governance & Quality Manager for their West Midlands SARC footprint.
In this essential regional role, you will lead the quality and governance agenda across Sexual Assault Referral Centres (SARCs), ensuring strict regulatory compliance and keeping services inspection-ready at all times. Guided by company values of "Be Kind" and "Do the Right Thing," you will oversee clinical quality, risk management, internal audits, and patient safety initiatives within this critical health and justice environment.
1. Quality & Regulatory Governance
Lead and strengthen the regional Quality & Governance Framework, ensuring full compliance with CQC standards, NHSE Quality Standards, ISO15189, and Forensic Science Regulator Codes.
Oversee internal audits, inspections, incident management, and risk processes to maintain high operational and clinical standards.
Drive continuous service improvement by analysing audit, incident, and KPI data.
2. Leadership & Safety Compliance
Support patient safety initiatives and uphold robust information governance and data protection requirements.
Provide expert governance leadership, advice, and training to operational teams across multiple regional SARC facilities.
Manage multi-site coordination with frequent travel across the Midlands and occasional national travel.
Essential Criteria
Experience: Proven professional background in governance or quality roles within regulated healthcare environments, backed by a strong working knowledge of ISO standards, CQC compliance, audits, incident management, and data analysis.
Competencies: Confident influencing skills at all levels, exceptional organizational abilities, and the skill to embed robust governance frameworks in complex settings.
Requirements: Full UK driving licence with access to a vehicle, and the ability to successfully pass an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and police vetting.
