Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time (Night Shifts: 8:00 PM – 8:00 AM)

Salary: £12.90 – £14.51 per hour, depending on experience

Role Overview

We are looking for a motivated and compassionate Senior Care Assistant to join our night team. In this pivotal role, you will take day-to-day responsibility for running your unit, supporting nurses with clinical duties, and leading, inspiring, and developing a close-knit team of Care Assistants to deliver exceptional care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Take day-to-day responsibility for running the unit and conducting team shift handovers during night shifts.

• Support nurses with clinical duties, including observing residents, issuing medication, reviewing care plans, and keeping accurate records.

• Lead, mentor, and train new and existing Care Assistants so they feel welcomed, supported, and ready to excel.

• Build strong, trusting relationships with residents, their families, and external healthcare teams like GPs and District Nurses.

• Assist residents with personal care duties with dignity, kindness, and respect.

Key Requirements & Qualifications

• Completed or working towards an NVQ Level 3 in Care (or higher)—full support and training will be provided if needed.

• Previous experience in a senior care role with a clear understanding of its rewards and challenges.
