Key Responsibilities
Act as the person in charge during night shifts, standing in for the Manager as required and ensuring the highest standards of care are consistently maintained.
Undertake advanced clinical tasks, including the administration of medication, wound dressings, catheterization, tube feeding, and chronic condition management.
Communicate closely with resident families and GPs regarding any changes in health status to ensure continuity and involvement in care choices.
Supervise and direct the care team effectively, ensuring all duties are completed and resident needs are fully met throughout the night.
Maintain rigorous clinical standards through accurate assessment, planning, and documentation.
Person Specification & Requirements
Qualifications & Registration: Must hold a First Level qualification with an active, current NMC Registration.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience with up-to-date knowledge of elderly care, supported by relevant post-basic studies or qualifications.
Core Skills: Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills, a strong practical understanding of care planning, and alignment with Avery's core values of being caring, supportive, honest, respectful, and accountable.
Compliance: Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check required (cost met by Avery Healthcare) alongside proof of eligibility to work in the UK.
