As a Bank Kitchen Assistant at Forest Hill Care Home, you will provide vital cover for planned or unplanned absences, helping to produce wholesome meals and create a fulfilling dining experience. Beyond the kitchen, you will have plenty of opportunities to interact with residents, building meaningful connections and enhancing their daily quality of life.
Key Responsibilities
Food Preparation & Kitchen Support: Assist in preparing and producing nutritious, high-quality meals while maintaining the highest standards of kitchen hygiene and safety.
Dining Experience: Contribute to a wonderful, person-centred dining experience that supports the health and wellbeing of residents.
Resident Engagement: Build positive relationships with residents, bringing warmth and care beyond the kitchen doors.
Flexibility: Work casual bank daytime hours on an as-needed basis to cover annual leave, sick leave, and rota gaps.
What We Are Looking For
Personality: Reliable, considerate, caring, and detail-oriented.
Experience: Formal qualifications are not essential; however, previous experience in a commercial or care catering setting is beneficial.
Approach: A flexible attitude towards work patterns and a genuine passion for making a difference.
