Salary/Pay Rate: £13.45 - £14.45 per hour*

(Max. rate includes £1.50 extra per hour for hours worked in the freezer and £3.50 extra per hour for hours worked between 23:00 - 05:00).

Role Overview

As a Warehouse Operative (Recycling), you’ll help keep our distribution warehouses running smoothly by ensuring recyclables—from card and plastic to food waste—are processed quickly and efficiently. Our warehouses never stop running, and neither does our recycling team. You’ll roll up your sleeves, work alongside your colleagues, and play an essential part in turning everyday warehouse tasks into real environmental and operational wins.

Core Responsibilities:

• Vehicle & Yard Management: Check delivery and transport vehicles into the recycling area efficiently.

• Waste Processing: Quickly process card, plastic, and food waste to maintain a clean and sustainable workflow.

• Collaboration & Tracking: Work closely with contractors and colleagues to keep collections on track and outbound lanes organized.

• System Updates: Update the Warehouse Management System (WMS) with accurate pallet counts and report any issues promptly.

• Safe Equipment Operation: Utilize machinery safely to move pallets, support driver debriefs, and maintain high site standards through a clean-as-you-go approach.
