Duty Manager

Supportive Bridge Staffing & Recruitment is currently recruiting on behalf of Supportive Bridge Limited for an enthusiastic and customer-focused Duty Manager to join their team at Stoke Gym in Stoke-on-Trent, UK.

In this full-time leadership role, you will oversee shift operations, lead team members, manage facility opening and closing procedures, and maintain exceptional member satisfaction. Working across full-time rotas, you will play a key operational role in driving club sales, enforcing health and safety compliance, and providing lifeguard coverage for wet-side facilities when needed.

Role Description

As a Duty Manager, you will take ownership of daily facility management, ensuring seamless club operations, health and safety compliance, and outstanding customer care. You will conduct prospective member tours, support sales targets, guide floor staff, and cover lifeguard breaks as part of your shift duties.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily club operations, including opening and closing shifts, while upholding health and safety standards.

• Lead and mentor shift staff, deliver member tours, drive sales KPIs, and maintain high levels of member satisfaction.

• Provide active pool supervision and cover lifeguard breaks following on-site competency training.

Requirements

• Demonstrable sales and customer service experience, ideally within a leisure, commercial, or retail setting.

• Ability to swim to a high standard and undergo on-site lifeguard coverage training.

• Strong team leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills with flexibility for shift-based work.
