Position: Kitchen Assistant (Bank Contract)

Pay Rate: £12.75 - £13.75 per hour (dependent on experience and qualifications)

About the Role

Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency is partnering with Bupa to find a passionate and dedicated Kitchen Assistant for a bank contract at Berkeley House Care Home in Hull.

As a Kitchen Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring residents enjoy an exceptional dining experience that makes them feel truly at home.

Key Responsibilities:

• Acting as the essential link between the main kitchen and our residents.

• Assisting chefs with plating meals, preparing food trolleys, and maintaining immaculate, safe, and tidy food preparation areas.

• Monitoring stock rotation and strictly complying with company policies, COSHH, and HACCP guidelines.

• Assisting with catering for special community events, seasonal celebrations, and resident gatherings (such as summer BBQs and Christmas parties).

• Collaborating closely with wider care home teams, bringing a warm, communicative approach and cherishing special moments with residents.

Requirements & Qualifications

• A genuine passion for food and service excellence.

• Previous experience working within a kitchen environment.

• A Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.

• Excellent communication skills, a friendly demeanor, and a natural empathy for elderly care residents.
