Deputy Manager (Nurse Qualified)

Supportive Bridge Staffing & Recruitment is pleased to assist Garden Hill Care Home in recruiting a driven Deputy Manager (Nurse Qualified) to join their leadership team in South Shields, UK.

In this pivotal management role reporting to the Registered Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing high-quality care delivery in accordance with care standards and regulatory requirements. You will manage daily care home operations, lead and motivate the staff team, and foster strong relationships with residents, families, and external stakeholders.

Role Description As Deputy Manager, you will combine clinical expertise with operational leadership to ensure exceptional personalized service across the home. You will supervise care teams, champion regulatory compliance, and support the Registered Manager in maintaining high standards of clinical governance and resident well-being.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day care operations, staff management, and shift planning to ensure high regulatory compliance and care quality.

• Lead, mentor, and motivate care and nursing staff, promoting professional development and effective teamwork.

• Build positive relationships with residents, family members, local authorities, and healthcare partners while maintaining high standards of clinical governance.

Requirements

• Qualified RGN, RMN, or RNLD with a valid UK NMC PIN.

• Proven leadership and Supervisory/Management experience in a health or social care setting (care home Deputy Manager experience is desirable).

• Strong communication skills, deep knowledge of regulatory compliance standards, valid right to work in the UK, and ability to commute reliably to South Shields, UK.
