We are proud to partner with Circle Health Group—Britain’s leading independent healthcare provider—to recruit a dedicated Clinical Lead for a 9-month fixed-term contract within the Enhanced Care Unit at Thornbury Hospital in Sheffield.
Lead and coordinate daily clinical operations within the Enhanced Care Unit, ensuring appropriate skill mix, safe staffing levels, and optimal patient care.
Supervise and support nursing staff, allocating duties based on patient acuity, competencies, and individual development goals.
Actively manage rotas, annual leave, and study leave to maintain seamless service continuity.
Collaborate with the Clinical Services Manager to support strategic service development, efficiency, and positive patient outcomes.
Ensure strict adherence to statutory legislation, professional standards, and regulatory frameworks (e.g., CQC, NMC Code).
Drive clinical governance by conducting risk assessments, managing clinical audits, investigating incidents through Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and sharing lessons learned.
Maintain comprehensive compliance across infection prevention, safeguarding, health and safety, and information governance policies.
Registration: Registered Nurse (Adult) with a valid, active NMC registration.
Experience: Proven experience in a senior nursing, supervisory, or leadership role within an acute or enhanced care setting.
Knowledge & Skills: Strong understanding of clinical governance, risk management, and regulatory compliance, paired with exceptional communication, decision-making, and mentorship abilities.
Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead, manage, and motivate a multidisciplinary team effectively under pressure.
Professional Development: Evidence of continued professional development and competency in advanced nursing practice.
