Location: Manton Wood, Worksop (Home to a team of around 1,700 colleagues producing sandwiches and wraps for major UK retailers including Co-op, Asda, Morrisons, Boots, Aldi, and Lidl)
Pay Rate: £16.95 per hour (Overtime paid at time-and-a-quarter after 48 hours)
Job Type: Permanent - Part-Time
Shift Pattern: Friday & Saturday, 17:00 – 03:30

As a supportive bridge staffing agency, we are proud to partner with Greencore (following their combination with Bakkavor) to find dedicated food production and manufacturing talent. Greencore is one of the UK’s leading convenience food creators, employing over 28,000 colleagues across 36 manufacturing sites and 21 distribution depots.
At their major Manton Wood site, we are currently seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Food Preparation Operative for the night shift to operate specialized equipment, handle ingredients, and ensure batches are produced to top-tier quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Machine Operation & Monitoring: Monitor food processing machines (mixers, slicers, graters), program equipment to match specifications, adjust controls, and respond promptly to any malfunctions.
Batch Preparation: Accurately measure, weigh, and load ingredients following recipes and written instructions, and transfer finished products to the next production stage.
Quality & Checks: Verify that finished items meet company quality standards through visual observation.
Hygiene & Safety: Thoroughly clean and sanitize machinery parts and workspaces at the end of each shift while adhering strictly to food safety and health standards.
What We Are Looking For
Core Skills: Basic math and reading comprehension skills, with the ability to follow safety standards and written recipes accurately.
Experience: Previous experience working in food production or an industrial kitchen, alongside knowledge of quality assurance practices, is highly advantageous.
