About the Role

Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency is proud to partner with Morrisons to recruit a dedicated and people-focused Service Team Leader for their store in Kirkham.

In this leadership role, you will be the driving force behind the checkout and front end service teams. Whether you are a natural leader or a customer assistant ready to take the next step in your career, you will ensure outstanding service, coordinate day-to-day department operations, and build a high-performing, supportive culture.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead front-end service operations and checkout teams to deliver fast, efficient, and friendly customer service.

• Be a visible presence across the front end, utilizing headsets to support colleagues and streamline customer purchases.

• Coordinate day-to-day communication across departments, including checkouts, cash handling, petrol station (where applicable), kiosks, customer service desks, trolleys, and car parks.

• Analyze reports and dashboards to optimize the front end experience, root-cause issues, and implement corrective action.

• Coach, develop, and inspire team members while ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and legal obligations.

• Minimize waste and delegate tasks like put-backs to be completed in a timely manner.

What The Role Requires

• Proven ability to build and maintain effective relationships.

• Experience in developing, coaching, and leading teams to achieve high performance.

• Strong operational and technical knowledge of retail service departments.

• Excellent planning, organizational, and workload management skills with the ability to work to strict deadlines.

• Must be over the school leaver’s age.
