Supportive Bridge Staffing & Recruitment is pleased to assist our valued client in recruiting an enthusiastic Band 5 Community Staff Nurse to join their Great Eccleston Nursing Team. Based at Great Eccleston Health Centre within Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, this is a 12-month fixed-term maternity cover post requiring 30 hours per week (structured across five 7.5-hour shifts including evening and weekend coverage).
In this community-based role, you will deliver high-quality, holistic nursing care to patients in clinic settings and their own homes across the Fylde Coast. You will assess patient needs, design and evaluate care plans, administer medications within NMC guidelines, manage leg ulcer and tissue viability cases, and escalate clinical changes to senior community nurses and multidisciplinary teams.
Role Description
As a Band 5 Community Staff Nurse, you will deliver direct clinical care, manage individual care plans for housebound and clinic patients, administer treatments, and support multidisciplinary health initiatives across Great Eccleston and surrounding areas.
Key Responsibilities
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individual nursing interventions for district nursing patients in home and clinic settings.
Administer medications within NMC guidelines, promote health education, and deliver evidence-based care in wound management, tissue viability, and long-term condition management.
Collaborate with families, carers, and interprofessional teams while maintaining detailed clinical records and adhering to lone-working safety protocols.
Requirements
Active Level 1 NMC Registration (Registered Adult Nurse).
Full UK driving licence with access to a car for daily community travel.
Post-registration nursing experience with strong clinical assessment skills, time management, and effective communication.
