We are acting on behalf of Alliance Medical Ltd—Europe's leading independent provider of imaging services with over 30 years of consistent growth—to recruit an experienced and dynamic Administration Manager for their facility in Ashford.
In this vital leadership role, you will be responsible for managing and developing the administrative teams, including booking staff and receptionists. Working in partnership with the Unit Manager, you will ensure smooth daily operations, high standards of customer and patient care, and strict adherence to governance protocols while supporting commercial targets and budgetary objectives.
1. Team Leadership & Operational Management
Lead, engage, coach, and develop administrative staff to meet and exceed internal targets, revenue goals, and external quality standards.
Oversee effective resourcing through staff planning, rostering, training, absence/holiday management, and performance appraisals (6-monthly and annual).
Plan, guide, organise, and continuously improve daily administrative functions and processes within the unit.
2. Financial, Contract & Stakeholder Management
Partner with the Unit Manager to secure strong financial performance, monitor referral trends, control costs, and maximize throughput.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of service contracts, terms, and performance standards, ensuring key performance indicators (KPIs) regarding waiting and reporting times are consistently met.
Handle customer and patient issues with exceptional care, sensitivity, and discretion while building strong working relationships with host sites and referrers.
Essential Criteria
Core Competencies: Proven experience leading and managing administrative teams in a high-pressure environment; strong financial awareness and contract management skills.
Skills: Excellent IT, communication, and forward-planning skills, alongside the ability to author, update, and implement robust operational procedures.
Requirements: Must have the legal right to work in the UK without the need for sponsorship.
Vetting: Must successfully pass pre-employment checks, including an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, professional registration/qualification verification, and occupational health assessments.
