The Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic Site Supervisor to join our client's North Northamptonshire Council team based in Brixworth, Northamptonshire. If you have a proven track record in supervising onsite maintenance and improvement schemes, this is your chance to lead high-profile civil engineering projects on a live public highway.
Location: Brixworth, Northamptonshire (Site-based 5 days per week)
Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time (40 hours per week — flexible hours considered)
Salary: Up to £40,000 per year + company van + excellent benefits package
Safety Leadership: Champion a human-focused approach to safety, ensuring the wellbeing of yourself, the workforce, and the public in line with strict SHEQ processes.
Project Delivery: Manage and administer construction works, including footway reconstruction, carriageway resurfacing, drainage improvements, and structural repairs.
Compliance & Inspection: Carry out regular health and safety inspections, monitor site progress, and ensure ongoing compliance with CDM duties, risk assessments, method statements, and safe systems of work.
Quality Control: Inspect the quality of work to verify adherence to inspection test plans, scheme designs, and specifications.
Certifications: Relevant industry qualifications including SSSTS or SMSTS, NRSWA Supervisor, 12D Lantra Traffic Management, Temporary Works Supervisor, and First Aid certification.
Experience: Proven experience supervising direct labour teams and civil engineering subcontractors within a construction, highways, or infrastructure environment.
Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and people management skills, with a talent for building positive relationships with colleagues, clients, and the public.
Technical Knowledge: A solid understanding of civil engineering, resurfacing, and structures works, alongside a strong grasp of CDM regulations.
Requirements: Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across sites as required. (Note: We are unable to offer certificates of sponsorship for this role).
