Academy Health and Wellbeing Physiologist

As an Academy Physiologist, you will undergo a comprehensive 3-week initial training course followed by a 12-month preceptorship programme. Based in Ipswich with regional mobility, you will conduct health assessments, deliver holistic advice on exercise and lifestyle, and support both preventive care and rehabilitation.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive health and wellbeing assessments, delivering actionable insights to clients on physiology, nutrition, and fitness.

• Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to support holistic care, health prevention, and recovery strategies.

• Travel within the base location region to deliver health assessment services, maintaining high standards of care and client focus.

Requirements

• Degree in Sport and Exercise Science (or equivalent, minimum 2:2) covering human physiology, exercise, biochemistry, anatomy/biomechanics, psychology, and nutrition.

• Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel regionally from the Ipswich base site.

• Strong communication skills with a compassionate, client-centered approach and ability to apply academic knowledge in practice.
