About the Role
We are partnering with the fantastic Oakcroft Care Home in West Byfleet to find a passionate Kitchen Assistant. Oakcroft is dedicated to delivering person-centred care, supporting independence, and honouring choice so that residents can live their best lives.
As a Kitchen Assistant through Supportive Bridge, you will be an essential part of the kitchen team—the magic behind each delicious, nutritious dish served to residents. You will act as the warm bridge between the kitchen and the dining room, helping deliver an exceptional culinary experience and cherishing the little moments that make residents feel right at home.
Key Responsibilities
Act as the welcoming link between the main kitchen and our residents.
Assist chefs with plating meals, preparing food trolleys, and ensuring all preparation areas remain spotless, clean, and tidy.
Monitor stock rotation and comply with company policies, strictly following mandatory COSHH and HACCP guidelines.
Assist with catering for special events and social gatherings, such as summer BBQs and Christmas parties.
What We Are Looking For
A genuine passion for food with previous experience working in a kitchen environment.
A Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.
An approachable, caring, and communicative nature, eager to engage with residents and collaborate closely with the wider kitchen and care home teams.
