About the Role
As a supportive bridge staffing agency, we are partnering to recruit a dedicated and enthusiastic Relief Kitchen Assistant for Mulberry Court. Located in the heart of Chalfont St Peter, this small, friendly care home features 23 boutique-style en-suite bedrooms and a dedicated visitor lounge, offering a modern yet cozy and personal environment for our residents.
In this role, you will join a passionate, hard-working catering team to help create delicious meals, snacks, and drinks for our residents. By getting to know our residents and understanding their individual likes and dislikes, you will help ensure that mealtimes are always a bright and enjoyable highlight of their day.
Key Responsibilities
Meal Preparation & Support: Assist the catering team in preparing and serving nutritious meals, snacks, and refreshments.
Kitchen Standards: Maintain exceptional standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and safety across all kitchen and food preparation areas.
Resident Engagement: Interact warmly with residents to learn their personal food preferences and dietary needs.
Team Collaboration: Work seamlessly alongside the wider catering and care team to deliver a fantastic dining experience.
What We Are Looking For
Experience: Formal catering experience is not required—we provide comprehensive training! Holding a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate is a helpful plus.
Attitude: A positive, can-do approach with a passion for cooking, high hygiene standards, and delivering great service.
Personality: Friendly, approachable, and confident in engaging with elderly residents to understand their personal choices.
