Position: Housekeeper / Bank Housekeeper
Location: The Cedars Care Home, High Street, Purton, SN5 4AF (Situated off the High Street in the charming village of Purton, overlooking beautiful countryside and gardens)
Pay Rate: £13.01 per hour (plus higher rates of pay at weekends)

As a supportive bridge staffing agency, we are partnering to recruit a dedicated and meticulous Bank / Relief Housekeeper for The Cedars care home in Purton. Providing devoted, personalised respite and residential care for 49 residents, The Cedars is a bright and charming home where maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment is essential to resident wellbeing.
As our Housekeeper, you will champion hygiene and infection control across the home, ensuring every room and shared living space is kept pristine. You will use specialised equipment and materials to create a comfortable, spotless home, and you might even share a smile with residents who love to pitch in with simple cleaning or laundry tasks!
Cleanliness & Hygiene: Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene across all resident rooms, communal areas, and facilities.
Infection Control: Act as a champion for health and safety, adhering strictly to infection control guidelines using specialised equipment and materials.
Resident Engagement: Interact warmly and sensitively with residents, welcoming visitors and occasionally involving residents who enjoy helping with light housekeeping tasks.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with the wider care and support teams to ensure a safe, warm, and comfortable environment for everyone.
Experience: Previous housekeeping experience in a professional or care setting is fantastic, but no experience is necessary as full, comprehensive training is provided!
Personality: A proud, detail-oriented individual with a caring, sensitive, and positive attitude towards elderly care.
Communication: Good communication skills and a team-oriented approach to working together.
