About the Role
We are acting on behalf of Alliance Medical Ltd—Europe's leading independent provider of imaging services—to recruit a skilled and motivated PET-CT Radiographer / Technologist to join their dynamic team in Brixton, London.
In this vital role, you will deliver exceptional, patient-focused diagnostic imaging while adhering to the highest standards of quality and efficiency. Whether you are an experienced PET-CT practitioner or an accomplished diagnostic radiographer looking to expand your expertise, Alliance Medical offers comprehensive on-the-job training in collaboration with the Christie School of Oncology via the PET-CT training academy.
Key Responsibilities
1. Imaging Operations & Patient Care
Perform high-quality PET-CT and nuclear medicine examinations with a deeply compassionate, patient-centered approach.
Handle and dispense radiopharmaceuticals safely, maintaining strict adherence to local rules and radiation protection guidelines.
Undertake intravenous (IV) cannulation as part of the clinical pathway (full training provided if required).
2. Training & Multidisciplinary Collaboration
Complete a structured competency and training program in PET-CT to develop advanced clinical knowledge.
Collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams, demonstrating excellent communication, interpersonal, and time management skills.
Maintain flexibility to operate across multiple sites if required by service demands.
Person Specification
Essential Criteria
Qualifications & Registration: HCPC registration (or equivalent voluntary registration for Technologists). Significant experience working as a diagnostic Radiographer will also be considered, with full PET-CT training provided.
Competencies: Strong IT literacy, excellent communication and organisational skills, and a positive, adaptable approach to change and flexible working hours.
Vetting & Sponsorship: Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) clearance required. Applications from candidates requiring Skilled Worker visa sponsorship are warmly welcomed.
Desirable Criteria
Background in Nuclear Medicine with direct experience in PET-CT scanning and CT imaging.
Pre-existing IV Cannulation Certificate.
