We are acting on behalf of Alliance Medical Ltd—Europe's leading independent provider of imaging services—to recruit a skilled and motivated Administrator for the Southend PET-CT Centre.
In this patient-facing role, you will be the welcoming face of the centre, meeting and greeting patients as they arrive for their scans. Beyond front-of-house coordination, you will handle vital telephone bookings and administrative workflows. For candidates with a background in the health and care sector, this position offers an exciting career pathway to eventually train as a Clinical Assistant, providing expanded hands-on support to the clinical team.
1. Patient Reception & Communication
Meet and greet patients upon arrival, ensuring a warm, compassionate, and professional experience that reflects Alliance Medical's core values.
Manage high volumes of telephone bookings, coordinating patient schedules efficiently and professionally.
Communicate clearly and effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary colleagues across both face-to-face and telephone interactions.
2. Administration & Systems Management
Maintain organized filing systems, digital records, and computer files using Microsoft Office suite and internal software.
Handle administrative tasks accurately under pressure, demonstrating strong multi-tasking skills and attention to detail.
Essential Criteria
Competencies & Skills: Excellent customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills (both written and verbal). Strong IT literacy, including experience using Microsoft Office and managing computer files.
Attributes: Organized, enthusiastic, and flexible approach, with the ability to manage a busy workload and work well under pressure.
Vetting Requirements: Must successfully pass an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
