Position Type: Fixed-Term Maternity Cover (October 2026 – October 2027) | Part-Time (7.5 Hours/Week, 11:45am – 1:15pm Daily, 38 Weeks/Year – Term Time Only)
Salary: £4,129.27 – £4,332.41 per annum (Actual Salary) + Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) & Lift Schools Benefits

Supportive Bridge Staffing is delighted to partner with Lift Hockley in recruiting a calm, proactive, and positive Midday Supervisor to cover a maternity leave.
In this role, you will help create a safe, well-organized, and joyful lunchtime environment for pupils during their daily break. Working alongside teaching, pastoral, and senior colleagues, you will supervise pupils in the dining hall, outdoor playgrounds, and shared spaces—ensuring lunchtimes remain inclusive, respectful, and safe for everyone.
Active Supervision: Supervise pupils safely across dining halls, playgrounds, and school grounds during lunchtime.
Positive Behaviour & Culture: Encourage respectful, inclusive behavior and support positive social interactions among pupils.
Safety & Hazard Awareness: Proactively identify and resolve potential safety hazards, responding effectively to any incidents or behavioral concerns.
Wellbeing Support: Monitor pupil wellbeing, recognizing signs of distress, isolation, or conflict and escalating concerns appropriately.
Facilities & Activities: Assist in keeping dining areas clean and tidy, while helping coordinate games, lunchtime clubs, or outdoor activities.
Experience & Qualities:
Prior experience supervising children or young people (including experience as a parent or carer).
Calm, patient, and approachable manner, especially in busy or fast-moving environments.
Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with young people quickly.
Good organizational skills with the ability to multitask and use initiative.
