Senior Care Assistant (Night)

Supportive Bridge Staffing & Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of Garden Hill for a Senior Care Assistant (Night) to join their team in South Shields, UK.

In this role, you will lead the night care team to ensure the highest standard of physical, psychological, and social care is provided to residents overnight. You will act as a key guide and role model, maintaining a safe, peaceful, and respectful environment where residents feel well-supported and secure.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead night shifts, supporting residents with personal care, hygiene, and overnight routines with compassion and dignity.

• Supervise care staff to ensure individualised care plans are implemented effectively throughout the night.

• Maintain accurate documentation and communicate key resident updates clearly to the day team and healthcare professionals.

Requirements

• Level 2 qualification in Health and Social Care with proven experience as a Senior Care Assistant in a care home environment.

• Willingness to complete Level 3 Health & Social Care qualification upon appointment if not already held.

• Strong team leadership, organizational, and verbal and written communication skills.
