About the Role

As a Bank Care Assistant, you will be the heartbeat of Bowerfield Court. You will provide warm, person-centred support to our residents, ensuring they maintain their independence, dignity, and comfort.

Because this is a bank role, you will step in to support the permanent team during busy periods, planned leave, or peak times, making you a highly valued member of our care family.

Key Responsibilities:

• Kind & Gentle Care: Support residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, mobility, and enjoying nutritious meals—always preserving their dignity.

• Relationship Building: Take the time to get to know our residents, learning their unique life stories, fostering friendships, and providing meaningful companionship.

• Care Plan Contribution: Assist in implementing and updating personalized care plans to ensure each resident's specific needs and wishes are met.

• Promoting Independence: Encourage and support residents to do as much as they can for themselves, helping them stay confident and active.

• Creating a Safe Haven: Help maintain a clean, secure, and welcoming environment where residents feel safe and listened to.

What You Will Need to Succeed

We hire for attitude and train for skill. While prior experience in care or social work is a plus, it is not essential.

• The Right Attitude: A genuine passion for helping older people and a heart full of compassion, kindness, and respect.

• Key Skills: Strong communication skills, a reliable and organized approach, and a collaborative team-player mindset.

• Flexibility: A willingness to work shifts on a casual basis, which may include days, nights, or weekends depending on your availability and the home's needs.

• Safety & Compliance: Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check (fully funded by the employer).
