As Northern LGPS enters an exciting new phase to establish a new FCA-authorised investment management company, we are seeking a strategic, experienced Third Party Relationship Manager. In this vital role reporting to the Finance Director, you will lead the day-to-day operation of the Third Party Risk Management (TPRM) framework, ensuring outsourced arrangements remain compliant, resilient, and aligned with regulatory expectations.
As Third Party Relationship Manager, you will shape strategy, set standards, and build robust governance and supplier oversight across the organisation. Key responsibilities include:
TPRM Framework: Implementing and operating Northern LGPS’s Third Party Risk Management framework, including materiality assessments, provider tiering, and oversight standards.
Due Diligence & Onboarding: Leading onboarding activities by assessing financial standing, operational capability, information security, resilience, and control environments.
Supplier Monitoring & KPIs: Managing ongoing performance reviews, financial stability assessments, service-level agreements (SLAs), and KPI frameworks for material suppliers.
Risk & Governance Reporting: Escalating service failures or control weaknesses through appropriate governance forums and preparing management information for executive committees and the Board.
Procurement & Contract Management: Contributing to RFP design, supplier evaluations, contract negotiations, and maintaining the contract register.
Regulatory Compliance: Supporting audits, regulatory reporting, and assurance activities relating to outsourced service providers and operational resilience.
We are looking for an accomplished professional with strong experience in supplier oversight, risk management, and regulated environments. You will bring:
Proven experience in third-party risk management, supplier oversight, and outsourcing governance.
Strong knowledge of operational resilience, due diligence, and vendor performance management.
Expertise in contract management, KPIs, service-level agreements, and procurement support.
Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across a regulated organisation.
